In the Bonus: Bowie State at ECSU Basketball

Elizabeth City State went 1-1 for its Winter Homecoming on Saturday against Bowie State.

The Lady Vikings rallied from a 13-point third quarter deficit to beat the Lady Bulldogs 57-55.

The past two home games, the ECSU women have shown grit along with the growing pains of a young team.

As for the men, the Vikings are slumping at the worst time.

After beginning 2016 with four consecutive wins, the Vikings lost their fourth consecutive game, falling to the Bulldogs 72-65.

All four losses have been in CIAA Northern Division games.

Before the game, senior guard Miykael Faulcon was presented his 1,000 career point game ball in front of the Winter Homecoming crowd.

Faulcon surpassed the mark during the Jan. 9 home contest against Johnson C. Smith.
