Baseball Rewind | Albemarle Easter Tournament — Day 1 (Videos)

A decent amount of drama on day one of the Albemarle Easter baseball tournament at Perquimans on Saturday.

Game 3 of the first round had a little bit of everything as tournament host Perquimans rallied with two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to beat Edenton 4-3.

Perquimans plays the winner of the final first round game to be played on Tuesday between Northeastern and Reidsville.

The second day of the tournament was moved from Monday to Tuesday.

In Game 1 of the tournament, Camden’s Tyler Beyel and Pasquotank’s Connor Brickhouse dueled for six-plus innings, but Beyel’s Bruins earned the 2-0 win.


and Pasquotank were up early on Saturday for the 10 a.m. first pitch.

Currituck held off Gates 4-3 in Game 2 of the tournament. Shane Davis pitched a complete game for the Knights, who will face Camden on Tuesday.
