In the bonus: Mid-Atlantic Christian at Elizabeth City State men’s basketball

Hopefully everyone had a good Thanksgiving holiday.

Below are highlights from the first half between Mid-Atlantic Christian and Elizabeth City State on Tuesday.

ECSU knocked off MACU 96-55. The Vikings improved to 2-2 on the season, while the Mustangs fell to 0-7.

Moment of silence

Before tip-off, a moment of silence was held for former ECSU assistant softball coach William White.

White was a coach on the two Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association softball championship teams in 2002 and 2005. Before he retired from ECSU, White served as a campus police officer.

Football seniors recognized

At halftime of the basketball game, a handful of seniors who were on campus were recognized by the university.

Players Lovie Banks-Rose, Darren Wilson, Maliek Wright, Ronald Gray and Kevrette Brown received plaques from ECSU athletic director Derrick Johnson.
